“Wow what a niche and intriguing title” is the thought you had just before you clicked on the post. But how exactly are you going to convince me of this; some random guy in his early teens sitting in his basement? You’re probably right, I can't make you believe anything. After all, you are always entitled to your opinions. Which is why I made this in the first place. See this is an experiment. An experiment that will make you feel curious; maybe even sad that you're probably reading this in the solitude of your own bed. My goal isn't to make you feel bad about your “run of the mill” life. I want you to get up out of your bed excited.
Step 1 “Breath”
Breath in and out.
Didn’t that feel nice. You breathed, and now you're aware of this. Now that you have gained consciousness of this, think of a time when you have done something out of the ordinary. Something weird, bizarre, maybe even strange. Now think why you did this? Is it because you're just a weird person or because you like to do things that would seem irregular. That’s why we are BETTER than AI. We like to switch things up. Be different once and awhile. AI can’t be different. Sure it’s all knowing, but does it contain what makes us human? The answer is no. No it won’t. Us as humans make mistakes. We tie our shoes wrong. We miss an important phone call. AI an’t and most defiantly won’t do that. As creators we make AI perfect and if we don’t improve or perfec
t it’s useless. We take advantage of AI as a tool that helps us with tasks we as humans maybe don’t have the dedication to do. That's why we are human.
Step 2 “That’s it”
As I said at the beginning this was an experiment. An experiment to see if you would hear a random “kid” out on a niche idea he thought would be a breakthrough. But my message is more than that. It’s a sign to be strange. To make mistakes. And most importantly know you are better than AI. To know someone cares and loves you something AI won’t do. So, that's it…
Interesting thoughts on what AI can't do and therefor wont take over the world!
Two related thoughts that I have been turning over in my brain recently.
-mistakes are required for life. They're not something best avoided; they're part and parcel of what makes life possible.
-it all starts as an accident (Abigail Thomas was talkinga bout making clay figures, but the statement can be expanded to all of human creativity which is most of what we do, I think)
Good luck with your sub!
